Alerts not firing upon resolution

Hi. Alerts are firing properly upon problem detection, but although I've ticked the box for Decreases I am not receiving another email when the problem is resolved.

Thank you!

Hi there,

If you view the alert history of a node and then go into one of these previous alerts it should show you the alert log.

This should contain an entry for each and every time the alert was updated (the test was tried again) and also when it was closed.

Do you see an Alert Closed entry in this log? If so - is it the last thing.

Also - do you have warnings set for the alert action (I know it shouldn't matter but I'm wondering if it might be there before trying to find the bug directly in the code).

Thanks,

Dave.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the info - it was indeed a logic fault if warnings were not checked.

http://www.purplepixie.org/freenats/dow ... 28a.tar.gz

This should now pass on Alert Closed if decreases are set but warnings aren't.

Let me know how you get on and if it works I'll build a beta with both those changes in.

Regards,

Dave.

Works beautifully! Thanks for the quick fix!

Can the verbage be modified (e.g. instead of Alert Closed say Issue Resolved)

Good stuff.

I'm afraid you can't modify that text. I will add that to the feature list and it'll be added to version 1 (though I'm not sure when...).

Regards,

Dave.
