Re: False positives
Hi Paul, Well if you don't get failure reports then I think you shouldn't be getting resolved reports either. The logic for the master node testing is such that, if it fails, then the other nodes under it aren't tested and therefore shouldn't open an alert to be closed. It might be worth just lookin...

Hi Paul,
Yes it should be fine on that as long as PHP is running ok.
Regards,
Dave.

Forum Registrations
FYI for a while forum registrations have been disabled owing to too much spam.
However I've just (3rd August 2013) updated to the latest phpBB with reCAPTCHA which, we hope, will stop some of the deluge.
Cheers,
Dave.

Re: Change NodeID
Hi Paul, Blimey sorry for the long delay in reply! Only just noticed this :o(( If you change the nodeid you also need to update it on other tables not just the node table. This would primarily be the fnlocaltest and fnnstest tables (also if you use views the fnviewitem will need updating with the io...

Re: favicon
Hi Paul, There's currently no supported method but I think it would be quite easy for me to put in as a config option. In the meantime you have two choices. 1. If FreeNATS is on a web server root e.g. you go to http://myserver/ to access it then you can put a favicon.ico file in the web root folder ...

Re: php timezone
Hi Paul, Ok well looking at this it seems that your best option may be to just set the date.timezone setting in your PHP INI file (this is normally /etc/php.ini). Description of the date.timezone option: http://www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.configuration.php#ini.date.timezone And a list of possible...

Re: Closed Alert and Graphing Issues
Hi there, Sorry you are experiencing problems with FreeNATS. With regard to your problems: 1. Alerts not saying closed. Can you check that the 'Decreases' option is checked for the relevant alert action (Configuration - System Settings - Alert Actions - [Action in Question]). Decreases needs to be c...

Re: test status hanged on failed
Hi Phil,
Sure that would work as well of course.
I think I'll put something in to sanitise all input as a proper fix rather than relying on the node script to send decimal-pointed numbers.
Cheers,
Dave.
