Alert thresholds
Hi Dave, quick question... We are building quite a big node list in freenats these days and a lot of the nodes we need quite regular testing on, ie they are set to 1 minute intervals, this is for grpahing/reporting purposes, some of these are critical nodes and we need to be alerted immediately if t...

Re: Feature idea
I'll second the telnet/VNC/rdp idea! that would be really handy. We've recently implemented a freenats install (v1.07) to monitor internal infrastructure nodes and various customer facing services, it's proving to be really handy and much quicker to add and configure nodes than our Nagios install fo...

Re: nodes still showing in alerts box after deletion
brief update.... i recreated the nodes with the exact same name but with a basic ping test to localhost so i knew it would work. this closed the alerts so i deleted the nodes. basically it looks like if you delete node while it is alerting state then it will not be removed from the NATS Alert box. I...

nodes still showing in alerts box after deletion
I've just installed 1.01.7b from source after trialling it on virtual machine and I'm having one minor issue... I created a few nodes, 2 were running DNS tests, one was done a HTTP web time test and i forgot that the DNS nodes wouldnt actually allow me to query because the freenats box is on the wro...

Release a VM image on V1 and that should do the trick, then the lazy types or people that want to have a portable FreeNATS app will start using V1 as well.

Re: Error connecting to rPath
Happens to me all the time TBH, I normally just reboot the box when I can be bothered because the FreeNATS interface is normally still working when the rPath error happens.

BTW, when are we likely to see a virtual appliance with V1

Re: POP/IMAP tests not working
ok, rebooted had a fiddle etc
created anew node with default settings, enabled IMAP test and back to original problem.
no output when run manually and test script for that node becomes stuck and needs manually finishing
