Re: correct way to set time in freeNATs

yes, I agree, to have continues the x running is waste of resources. Should be good enough for this purpose with the command line. out of curiosity, how you install x window in rpath? With a conary update ? could not find it.

This took me a while to figure out, how to check if vmware tools are proper configured for the timesync. Short explanation: Check in .vmx file if you find the line tools.syncTime = "TRUE" if tools.syncTime = "FALSE" , then tools are installed, but sync feature is switched off. Long explanation: At n...

Re: correct way to set time in freeNATs

Re: correct way to set time in freeNATs

Hi, Ok, here what i found out. Timezone setting in rPath, works, Manual Time setting in rPath works, when you try to set "Synchronize clock with Internet Server" it seems NOT to work. If you apply the check mark, in the result window it says always "ok", even if the configured timeserver is not reac...

Re: view graph, y axis = -1

Hi Dave, Cause found. As usual you have been completely right. 2 reasons. That there was no Alarm with negative result, is fixed with adding "Less then 0 = failure" That Sometimes test with FQDN fail, is to do that Vmware seems to have a problem with DNS when NAT is selected. See: http://communities...

Re: view graph, y axis = -1

Hi Dave, Hope you had a good and interesting holiday! The load sim does not show up under the test modules. I have a copy of the same vm installed in Montreal (with some modified tests), if needed I can give you access and you can log in. Made screenshot of the history for the not displaying tests, ...

proxy support

Have following situation, would need to monitor some servers, including DNS servers local, this works perfect with freeNATs, but would need also to check availability of some servers only reachable via a proxy server. Now this proxy server setting for each test (proxy server could be http/https/sock...
