Re: SSL
Hi Paul, I've updated four locations that load scripts (and in case case an image) from purplepixie.org to use '//' in the source so it will use https if you're connection is https etc. Seems to be working fine - included in now available release 1.19.1b at https://www.purplepixie.org/freenats/relea...

Re: SSL
Hi Paul, Good news is that purplepixie.org does work via SSL however clearly the script sources in FreeNATS need updated. This should be a simple fix and is raised as an issue: https://github.com/purplepixie/freenats/issues/17 I'll hopefully get to it in the next day or so. I take it your server is ...

Re: Run Tests by webcron
Hi Stefan, I'm afraid the answer may well be you may only be able to run certain tests because of the permissions level. test-threaded.sh simply relies on being able to exec() instances of tester.sh for specific nodes, and it seems the error shows your web host denies this. For the tester on it's ow...

Ok gingerly have updated to php 3.2 and enabled reCAPTCHA and, with trembling fingers, re-enabled forum registrations. Let's see what happens.

Re: Trim database
Hi Paul, Sorry for the delay (notifications going into spam hole I think). In short yes there is. Your setup should be running the cleanup script daily (or however it's configured) but often missed from installation: http://www.purplepixie.org/freenats/wiki/Install_PHP_Source When that's running it ...

New Virtual Appliance Trial (6A)
Only a mere six years in the planning and five since the release of a corrupted version, a new FreeNATS virtual appliance is available as a trial. The new VM (Version 6 Alpha Release Candidate One, 6a RC1) is based on the Turnkey LAMP appliance which is built on Debian LTS. At the moment this is ver...

Forum Registrations Again
Forum registrations are yet again currently disabled because of a sudden influx of spam.
Will be working to update the anti-spam and putting everything back on ASAP, but is a bit of an issue right now as the phpBB website is down.

Re: fsockopen timeout
Hi, Great thanks for your feedback and for finding/fixing that bug. It's been logged ( BID398 ) and should be resolved in the latest version (1.03) which has been uploaded to github, basically exactly what you said. This will get pushed out to the general download at some point in the near future. I...
